Built from solid carbide with a multilayer CVD Duratomic coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a wide range of cutting conditions. Key specifications include a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, a 7-degree relief angle, an 80-degree diamond shape, and a 1/128-inch (0.0079 inch) corner radius. The M3 chip breaker geometry produces positive rake cutting action suited for light-to-medium roughing and finishing passes. This insert is intended for turning, boring, and facing operations. Its primary workpiece material is steel, with secondary suitability for stainless steel and cast iron, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, and K.
