This insert is engineered for primary use on steel workpieces classified under ISO material group P, covering low-alloy and carbon steel. Secondary applications include stainless steel (ISO group M) and cast iron (ISO group K). Material grades P10, P20, P30, and P35 are cited for this insert, spanning a range from finishing to medium roughing operations. Multi-use capability covers boring, facing, and turning in a single insert style, reducing tooling inventory requirements in mixed-operation environments.
