The SECO 02960559 is a solid carbide turning insert in the DNMG-M5 series, designed for steel and cast iron machining on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the ISO designation DNMG150412-M5 and industry standard number DNMG433-M5. The insert features a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr for extended tool life under continuous and interrupted cuts. With four usable cutting edges and an M5 chip breaker geometry, it delivers consistent chip control across a wide range of turning applications. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians with the machine fully powered down and in a locked-out state per LOTO procedures. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating to avoid insert rocking or premature edge failure. Index to a fresh cutting edge when wear or chipping is observed rather than continuing to run a degraded edge.
