The SECO 02960533 is a solid carbide turning insert in the SNMG-MR7 series, designed for general-purpose metal cutting in CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a TP2501 grade designation and features a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating (TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr) that extends tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The insert has a 5/8 inch inscribed circle, a 3/64 inch corner radius, a negative rake geometry, and a T-Land cutting edge style. Eight usable cutting edges per insert keep tooling costs down in high-volume turning operations. The MR7 chip breaker geometry is suited for medium-range depths of cut.

This insert is intended for boring, facing, and turning applications on CNC turning equipment in industrial and job-shop environments.
