The insert features a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating — TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr — over a solid carbide substrate, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. With an 80-degree diamond shape, negative rake geometry, and T-Land cutting edge style, it handles interrupted and continuous cuts on steel and similar materials. The MR7 chip breaker controls chip flow across a wide range of depths. The insert seats via clamp, pin, or lever-lock toolholders and is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This insert is rated primarily for steel (ISO P grade) and is suited for secondary workpiece materials including stainless steel and cast iron.
