The SECO 02959992 is a CNMG433W-M3 series indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr. Carrying manufacturer grade TP1501, this negative-rake, neutral-hand insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, and a 3/64 inch (0.0472 inch) corner radius. The M3 chip breaker geometry uses a chamfered and honed cutting edge style suited for consistent chip control across varying depths of cut up to 0.4606 inches. Four usable cutting edges are provided per insert.

This insert is designed for steel as the primary workpiece material, with cast iron and hard materials as secondary applications. It is rated to material grades P10 and P20 per ISO classification. Typical operations include turning, facing, and boring on CNC lathes and turning centers in production and job-shop environments.
