It carries the industry standard designation CCMT32.52W-MF2 and is manufactured to the TP2501 grade using a CVD-applied Duratomic coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr layers. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a neutral hand orientation, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. With a chamfered and honed cutting edge and the MF2 chip breaker geometry, it delivers controlled chip formation during light-to-medium cuts. This insert is suited for boring, facing, and turning operations on steel as the primary workpiece material, with secondary application to stainless steel and cast iron. Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians during scheduled insert indexing or replacement. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before removing or seating the insert. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket and tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque using the appropriate Torx or hex key. Inspect the insert seat and shim for debris or damage before each index to maintain cutting accuracy.
