The SECO 02941971 is a corner radius end mill head engineered for extended-reach milling applications requiring precision and durability. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN coating, this head delivers heat and wear resistance in demanding cutting environments. It measures 0.125 inches in diameter with a 0.030-inch length of cut and mounts on a 0.25-inch cylindrical shank. Part of the MZN410R series, this single-end, stub-length head features a right-hand spiral flute geometry and a 10-degree helix angle. It is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC milling equipment.
This end mill head is suited for precision milling operations where extended reach into cavities, pockets, or complex contours is required. The 0.375-inch reach length and 0.112-inch neck diameter allow access to features that standard-length tooling cannot reach. The 2.5-inch overall length supports setups in multi-axis CNC machining centers handling detail work in mold, die, and aerospace component production. It is not centercutting, making it appropriate for side-milling and profiling passes rather than direct plunge entry.
Designed for use with the SECO MZN410R series modular tooling system. Accepts a 0.25-inch cylindrical shank interface compatible with MZN410R series holders.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by qualified machining personnel with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Torque the toolholder to the system specifications provided by the holder manufacturer. Inspect the shank and seating surfaces for contamination or damage before assembly. Do not use this head for plunge cutting, as it is a non-centercutting design.
