The SECO 02941942 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding metal removal in both roughing and finishing operations. It features a 3/8 inch diameter with a 0.0100 inch corner radius, two flutes, and a high helix angle of 40 degrees for efficient chip evacuation. The tool is coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, providing thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and edge integrity across a wide range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this end mill in compatible toolholders for precision milling applications.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and full slot milling. With a 1-7/8 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length, it fits stub-reach applications on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard 3/8 inch bore toolholders. The NS240R series is configured for coarse pitch roughing through finish passes in a single tool.
Designed for use with standard 3/8 inch bore toolholders on CNC machining centers. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium per SECO material codes P, M, K, N, and S.
This tool is installed by a machinist or CNC operator using a compatible toolholder with a 3/8 inch bore. Verify tool runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch TIR maximum before cutting. Confirm spindle direction and program feed rates appropriate to the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated length of cut or apply side loads beyond the tool geometry limits.
