The SECO 02923719 is a solid carbide round milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation RPKT1204M0T-6-M15 and manufactured to grade MS2500. The insert features a CVD-applied dual-layer TiCN and Al2O3 coating optimized for cutting superalloys, titanium, steel, and stainless steel. Its round RPKT profile delivers 6 cutting edges per insert with a neutral hand orientation, a positive rake angle of 15 degrees, and a T-Land cutting edge style. At 0.1874 inches thick with a 0.4724-inch inscribed circle diameter, it is a screw-held, single-sided insert sized for high-feed milling operations in demanding aerospace and industrial machining environments. Licensed machinists and CNC mill operators are the primary installers.
This insert is designed for use in milling applications where superalloys and titanium are the primary workpiece materials, with secondary applicability to steel and stainless steel. The M15 chip breaker geometry supports medium-condition cutting across a range of depths. It is compatible with R217.29-06 and R220.29-06 cutter series bodies, making it well suited to face milling, shoulder milling, and contour milling operations on machining centers in both production and job-shop environments.

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Spindle power must be locked out and the machine brought to a full stop before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to the cutter body manufacturer's specified seat-screw torque procedure. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the insert to ensure proper contact and prevent premature edge failure.
