The SECO 02923701 is a solid carbide round milling insert carrying ANSI/ISO designation RPHT1204M0T-6-M08 and manufacturer grade F40M. Fine-grain solid carbide substrate is coated with a dual-layer TiAlN and TiN finish applied via PVD process, delivering thermal resistance and edge retention during high-speed milling operations. The insert features a positive rake angle of 16 degrees, an 11-degree relief angle, and a T-Land cutting edge style. Six usable cutting edges are available on this single-sided, neutral-hand insert. Inscribed circle diameter measures 0.4724 inches (12 millimeters) and thickness is 0.1874 inches. The M08 chip breaker geometry is optimized for moderate feed milling across a range of metallic workpiece materials.
This insert is suited for milling applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. It fits within insert size code 1204 of the RPHT-12 series and is designed for use in cutter bodies requiring a round, screw-held insert at this diameter.
