The SECO 02923693 is a solid carbide, uncoated round milling insert designed for high-performance metal removal in milling applications. Built to ANSI and ISO standards, this insert carries the RPHT1204M0-6E05 designation and is manufactured in the H25 micrograin carbide grade. It features a round shape with a 0.4724-inch inscribed circle diameter and a thickness of 0.1874 inches. The positive rake geometry and honed cutting edge style reduce cutting forces and improve surface finish on difficult materials. Licensed HVAC technicians and electricians are not the audience here — this insert is specified and installed by machinists and tooling engineers in CNC milling operations.
This insert is suited for milling non-ferrous metals and superalloys including titanium. The E05 chip breaker geometry and positive 20-degree rake angle make it well matched to light-to-medium cutting depths up to 0.2362 inches. It is a neutral-hand, single-sided insert secured by screw clamping. Six cutting edges are available per insert, extending tooling economy in production environments. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use with cutter series R217.29-06 and R220.29-06 toolholders as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling specialists. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the toolholder seat — follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidance, not estimated values. Inspect the insert seat and pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
