Ground to a 140-degree point angle with an AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride) coating, it delivers heat resistance and wear life well above uncoated HSS tooling. At 10.50 mm in diameter with a 118.00 mm overall length and a 71.00 mm flute length, this drill fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders and collet chucks. It is sized for machining applications where dimensional accuracy and tool longevity in hard or abrasive workpiece materials are priorities for the machinist or toolroom professional installing it.
This drill is engineered for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, K, and H. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque guidelines for the collet or chuck in use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify runout at the cutting tip before beginning production drilling, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tooling. Coolant-through is not supported on this drill; use external coolant or cutting fluid appropriate to the workpiece material when required.
