The SECO 02897888 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 140-degree point angle for aggressive cutting and self-centering entry, an AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride) coating for elevated heat resistance and extended tool life, and a 6.10 mm (0.2403 inch) cutting diameter. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 8.00 mm in diameter and seats securely in standard drill chucks or collet holders. With a regular spiral flute and right-hand cutting direction, this drill is suited for machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision manufacturing personnel working in high-volume drilling operations.
This drill bit is engineered for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials, aligning with ISO material groups P, M, K, and H. It is a strong fit for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills where consistent hole quality and dimensional accuracy are required. The 7xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 53.00 mm flute length (2.0882 inches) support chip evacuation in deeper passes, making it well-suited for production drilling where cycle time and tool wear are both concerns. Installation and use of this drill should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool.
