The SECO 02897862 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit with a 4.20 mm diameter and a 140-degree split-point geometry. It carries an AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride) coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in demanding applications. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 6.00 mm in diameter and fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. At 74.00 mm overall length, this is a right-hand, two-flute spiral drill built for precision hole-making in production machining environments. It is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators working in job shops or manufacturing facilities.
This drill is engineered for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials — workpiece material codes P, M, K, and H in ISO classification. The SD1105A series targets applications where consistent hole quality and dimensional accuracy are required. A 6xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides a maximum drilling depth of 29.00 mm. Coolant-through is not supported; external flood or mist coolant is the appropriate approach for this design.

Carbide drills are brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without appropriate feed reduction, and contact with hardened fixture surfaces. External coolant should be directed at the cutting zone to manage heat when drilling stainless steel or hard materials.
