The SECO 02897848 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial applications. It features a 3.20 mm (0.1261 inch) cutting diameter, a 140-degree standard point angle, and an AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride) coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting conditions. The overall length is 66.00 mm (2.60 inches) with a 28.00 mm (1.10 inch) flute length and a 6.00 mm (0.24 inch) straight-cylindrical shank. It cuts right-hand with a regular spiral flute configuration and carries a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio. This bit is part of the SD1105A series and conforms to ANSI standards. Installation and use are handled by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This drill bit is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials — workpiece material codes P, M, K, and H. The straight-cylindrical shank accommodates standard drill chucks and collet systems. With a maximum drilling depth of 23.00 mm (1.10 inches) and a shank length of 36.00 mm (1.42 inches), it fits conventional machining centers, CNC drilling equipment, and manual drill presses. It does not require coolant-through capability, making it compatible with a wide range of standard machine setups.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collet systems that accept a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials on CNC and manual drilling equipment.
This drill bit is installed and operated by machinists in machine shop environments. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet to the recommended gripping depth before tightening. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate feed rates and spindle speeds based on workpiece material.
