It carries a TiAlSiN multilayer PVD coating applied under the TH1000 manufacturer grade, which provides high heat resistance and edge stability during interrupted and continuous cuts. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a positive rake geometry, a 0.0157-inch corner radius, and a 0.25-inch inscribed circle. Four usable cutting edges per insert make it an efficient choice for high-productivity turning applications. It is suitable for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production and job shop environments.
This insert is designed for primary use on superalloys, titanium, and hard materials — workpiece material codes S and H — making it well suited for aerospace, medical, and energy sector machining. The F1 chip breaker geometry and sharp cutting edge style support light-to-moderate depth-of-cut operations including turning, facing, and boring. The screw-on holding method provides secure, repeatable seating in compatible CCMT toolholders. The ISO code is CCMT060204-F1 and the industry standard number is CCMT21.51-F1, allowing cross-reference with standard toolholder catalogs. Maximum depth of cut is 0.2362 inches.
Designed for use in CCMT-style screw-clamping toolholders that accept a 0.25-inch inscribed circle, 3/32-inch thick diamond insert with a 0.1142-inch hole diameter. Compatible with ANSI and ISO standard CCMT toolholder systems. Verify toolholder clearance code C and tolerance code M compatibility before installation.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat the clamping screw — do not over-torque. Inspect the toolholder pocket for wear, chips, or debris before seating the insert. Confirm insert orientation and depth-of-cut parameters against the job setup sheet before resuming machine operation.
