The SECO 02823936 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XOEX10T331R-M06 in manufacturer grade F40M. It features a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry at 17.3 degrees, and a 15-degree relief angle. The cutting edges are honed for consistent engagement and reduced edge chipping. A PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual-layer coating provides thermal and wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. With two cutting edges per insert and a right-hand cutting orientation, this insert is suited for face milling and shoulder milling operations where tool life and surface finish consistency matter. It is installed and indexed by licensed machinists and tooling technicians.
This insert is designed for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium alloys. Primary workpiece material codes are P, K, and S; secondary codes are K and N. The M06 chip breaker geometry is optimized for medium-duty cutting conditions across these material groups. It is well-suited for production milling environments where consistent chip evacuation and repeatable insert indexing are required. The screw-holding method ensures positive seating in compatible cutter bodies during high-feed or interrupted-cut applications.
Compatible with cutter series R217.69-10 and R220.69-10. ANSI and ISO code XOEX10T331R-M06. Insert size code 10T331 in the XOEX-10 series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Disengage the machine spindle and confirm the cutter body is secured before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer to seat the insert screw to the recommended engagement without over-torquing the screw hole. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installing a new insert.
