The SECO 02823843 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI and ISO designation XOEX10T308FR-E05, manufactured in grade H15 micrograin carbide with a bright uncoated finish. It features a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, a positive 21.6-degree rake angle, and a 15-degree relief angle. The insert has two cutting edges on a single-sided body, with a sharp cutting edge style and an E05 chip breaker geometry. Thickness measures 0.1496 inches and the inscribed circle diameter is 0.2717 inches, with a corner radius of 0.0315 inches (1/32 inch). It is secured in the cutter body via a screw-holding method and is designed for right-hand operation. Installation is handled by qualified machinists or tooling technicians.
This insert is engineered for milling non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, and similar workpiece materials designated under ISO material group N. The positive rake geometry and uncoated micrograin carbide substrate are well suited for high-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes where surface finish quality and edge sharpness are critical. The E05 chip breaker promotes efficient chip evacuation in these lower-hardness, higher-ductility materials. It is a single-sided insert, meaning it is indexed once before replacement.
