It carries the CP500 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating finish, delivering wear resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert features a 0.094 inch cutting width, a maximum depth of cut of 0.256 inches, and a positive rake geometry. It is a double-ended insert mounted via a clamp-style holder, making it suitable for high-volume production environments where consistent tool life matters. Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine fully stopped, spindle locked, and power isolated per shop lockout-tagout procedures. Use the appropriate torx or clamping key specified for the X4 series holder to secure the insert without overtightening the clamp screw. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Do not operate the insert beyond its stated maximum depth of cut range.
