The SECO 02807378 is a WCMX-style indexable drill insert designed for use in indexable insert drills across a wide range of machining applications. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a Duratomic coating, this insert carries the DP3000 manufacturer grade. It features an 80-degree trigon shape with a 7-degree relief angle and a corner radius of 0.047 inches. The inscribed circle measures 0.500 inches, and the insert thickness is 0.187 inches. It is installed and serviced by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working with indexable drilling toolholders.
This insert is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, corresponding to material codes H, M, N, P, and S. This covers a broad spectrum including cast iron, steel, stainless, non-ferrous, and high-temperature alloys. The WCMX insert style and 85 chipbreaker geometry make it well suited for through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations in production and job-shop environments. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for indexable insert drills accepting WCMX0885-style inserts with an 0.500-inch inscribed circle and 80-degree trigon geometry.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or indexing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and insert screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not over-tighten or substitute fasteners. Inspect the insert pocket for damage or debris before seating a new insert.
