The SECO 02807368 is a solid carbide indexable drill insert in the SPGX style, designed for use with Perfomax indexable drill bodies. Manufactured to grade DP3000 with a Duratomic coating process, this insert provides durable cutting performance across a wide range of workpiece materials. The square 90-degree included angle geometry and C1 chipbreaker are engineered to control chip formation and maintain consistent hole quality during drilling operations. With an inscribed circle of 0.2500 inches and a thickness of 0.0940 inches, this insert fits directly into compatible Perfomax drill pockets. Licensed HVAC technicians and machinists in metalworking and production environments rely on this type of insert for repeatable, indexable tooling setups.
This insert is suited for universal workpiece material applications, covering material codes K, M, N, and P — including cast iron, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, and steels. It is used in indexable drilling operations on CNC machining centers, lathes with live tooling, and other production drilling setups where insert-style tooling is preferred over solid-shank drills. Right-hand cutting direction means standard spindle rotation applies. The insert size code is 06, corresponding to insert size 602 in the Perfomax series lineup.

Insert installation should be performed with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the drill body manufacturer to seat the insert securely without overtightening, which can crack the carbide. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert. Index or replace the insert at the first sign of chipping, excessive wear, or degraded hole quality.
