The SECO 02807367 is a solid carbide indexable drill insert designed for use in Perfomax series indexable drills. The insert carries the SPGX style designation with a C1 chipbreaker and is manufactured to the DP3000 grade with a Duratomic coating process for extended tool life across a range of workpiece materials. The square insert geometry features a 90-degree included angle, an 11-degree relief angle, and a 0.2190 inch inscribed circle diameter. The cutting direction is right hand. This insert is specified by machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments where consistent, repeatable hole quality is required.
This insert is suited for use in SECO Perfomax indexable drill bodies configured for the 05 insert size (size code 05, insert size 502). It supports universal primary workpiece material compatibility, including cast iron, steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous materials as indicated by material codes K, M, N, and P. Typical applications include through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations on CNC machining centers and turning centers in both light and heavy production settings.
Designed for use in SECO Perfomax series indexable drill bodies accepting the 05 insert size (insert size code 502). Workpiece material compatibility covers material groups K, M, N, and P as specified in the product attributes.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified for the Perfomax drill body to achieve proper clamping torque per the tool body documentation. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
