The SECO 02807366 is an indexable drill insert designed for use with Perfomax series indexable drills in metal-cutting operations. Featuring the SCGX insert style with a square, 90-degree geometry and DP3000 grade carbide substrate, this insert uses a Duratomic coating process to extend tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. The inscribed circle measures 0.625 inches, the thickness is 0.219 inches, and the corner radius is 0.047 inches. The P1 chipbreaker geometry promotes controlled chip formation during drilling. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and index these inserts as part of routine tooling maintenance.
This insert is suited for universal workpiece material applications, covering material codes H, M, N, P, and S. That range includes carbon steels, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. It fits standard Perfomax indexable drill bodies that accept the SCGX 15 insert seat size. Typical use cases include through-hole and blind-hole drilling on CNC machining centers and turning centers in both production shop and job shop environments.
Designed for use with Perfomax series indexable drill bodies accepting the SCGX insert style in size 150512. Compatible with workpiece material codes H, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before handling inserts or torquing clamping screws. Use the correct Torx or hex key as specified by the drill body manufacturer for the clamping screw — do not over-tighten or under-tighten the clamping mechanism. Inspect the insert pocket seat for damage or debris before seating a new insert.
