The SECO 02807357 is a solid carbide indexable drill insert designed for use in Perfomax series indexable drilling systems. It features an SCGX insert style with a 90-degree square shape, a DP3000 manufacturer grade, and a Duratomic coating process. The inscribed circle measures 0.2500 inches, the insert thickness is 0.0940 inches, and the corner radius is 0.0160 inches. The P2 chipbreaker geometry promotes effective chip evacuation during drilling operations. This insert is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC and manual drilling applications across a range of workpiece materials.
This insert is suited for universal primary workpiece material applications, covering material codes H, K, M, P, and S, which correspond to hardened materials, cast iron, stainless and heat-resistant alloys, steels, and superalloys. It is used in production and job-shop environments where consistent hole quality and tool life are priorities. The SCGX06P2 geometry and DP3000 Duratomic coating make it a reliable choice for moderate to high-demand drilling cycles on machining centers and drill presses.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production insert for SECO Perfomax series indexable drilling tools accepting SCGX06P2 style inserts.
Indexable drill inserts should be installed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with insert tooling systems. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key as specified by the tool body manufacturer to achieve proper clamping force. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before seating a new insert.
