The SECO 02789775 is an indexable high-feed end mill designed for aggressive material removal at shallow depths of cut. It accepts 4 LP06-style inserts secured by screw clamping and is built around a modular shank connection (M12) for quick changeover in compatible tooling systems. The maximum cutting diameter is 0.75 inches, the minimum cutting diameter is 0.66 inches, and the maximum depth of cut is 0.03 inches. Functional length is 1.102 inches. The spindle can be driven up to 30,000 RPM, making this tool well suited to high-speed, high-feed milling strategies. Through-coolant capability is included to manage heat and chip evacuation at the cutting zone. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC tooling specialists in production and job-shop environments.
The 02789775 is intended for milling applications where high feed rates compensate for the shallow axial engagement. Toolholder style R217.21 governs the insert geometry and seating. The modular shank interface allows the body to be mounted to compatible modular tooling adapters or extensions without special fixturing. A maximum ramping angle of 3.00 degrees supports controlled helical and ramp entry into workpiece material. This configuration is common in aerospace, die-mold, and general precision machining where surface finish and cycle time both matter.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before mounting or changing the tool body or inserts. Verify the M12 modular connection is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the tool, and confirm insert screws are tightened to the insert manufacturer's specification. Confirm coolant passages are clear and through-coolant pressure is within the machine tool's rated range before running at elevated RPM.
