The SECO 02768581 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XOMX10T304TR-M09, manufactured in grade F40M with a fine-grain carbide substrate. The insert receives a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual coating for elevated wear resistance during high-speed milling operations. Geometry is a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, positive rake of 10.6 degrees, and a T-Land cutting edge style. Two cutting edges are available per insert, and the right-hand configuration integrates with the XOMX-10 series cutter platform. This is a single-sided insert retained by a screw-clamp holding method.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium — covering a broad primary material range coded P, K, and S per ISO classification. It is intended for use in production and job-shop environments where consistent edge geometry and reliable chip control are required across varied workpiece materials. The M09 chip breaker designation is optimized for medium-duty cutting conditions. Installation and setup are typically performed by machinists and tooling technicians in CNC milling applications.
Designed for use with SECO cutter series R217.69-10 and R220.69-10 per supplier-specified compatibility data.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians with the machine spindle fully stopped and energy isolated per applicable lockout-tagout procedures. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the cutter body manufacturer specification — do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installing a new insert. Verify insert orientation and hand designation match the cutter body before commencing a cut.
