The SECO 02768559 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XOMX10T308TR-ME07 in manufacturer grade MS2500. It is designed for indexable milling operations and seats into compatible cutter bodies via a screw-holding method. The insert features a CVD-applied dual-layer TiCN and Al2O3 coating on a medium-grain solid carbide substrate, delivering hardness and thermal resistance required for demanding cuts. With a positive rake angle of 20.4 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style, it is engineered to reduce cutting forces and control heat buildup. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers.
This insert is intended for milling steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium — ISO material codes P, M, and S. The ME07 chip breaker geometry is optimized for these materials, particularly in medium-grain superalloy and titanium applications where controlled chip formation is critical. The right-hand, single-sided, parallelogram insert shape with a 90-degree included angle suits shoulder and face milling operations in both production and job-shop environments. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use with SECO cutter series R217.69-10 and R220.69-10. The insert size code is 10T308, part of the XOMX-10 series. Fits screw-clamped indexable milling bodies accepting the XOMX10T308TR-ME07 seat geometry per ISO standards.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians during scheduled insert indexing or replacement. The cutter body must be removed from the spindle and fully de-energized before handling inserts. Use a calibrated torque screwdriver appropriate for the cutter body manufacturer's specified screw size — do not overtighten, as this can crack the carbide. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert.
