The SECO 02755036 is a solid carbide turning insert in the DCGT-MF2 series, designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a 55-degree diamond shape with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch (0.0157 inch) corner radius. The insert carries a CP500 manufacturer grade with a multilayer TiAlN and TiN PVD coating, providing wear resistance and heat management in demanding cutting applications. With a positive rake geometry and chamfered-and-honed cutting edge style, it is suited for finish and semi-finish turning. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert as part of a screw-clamped toolholder system.
The 02755036 is built primarily for stainless steel (ISO material code M) and is also rated for steel, cast iron, and super-alloys and titanium (ISO codes P, K, and S). The MF2 chip breaker geometry supports light to medium material grades M10, M20, and M30. Typical applications include back turning, boring, facing, and standard turning operations in both production shop and job shop environments. The neutral hand orientation provides flexibility in toolholder setups. This insert ships individually but is subject to a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.
Designed for use in screw-clamped DCGT-style toolholders. Industry standard number DCGT32.51-MF2, ISO code DCGT11T304-MF2. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards for insert geometry and tolerances.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-specified clamping screw for the toolholder to ensure proper seating. Inspect the insert seat and clamping pocket for debris or damage before installing a new insert.
