The SECO 02754787 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision finishing operations on a variety of workpiece materials. Conforming to ANSI insert code CCMT21.50.5 and ISO code CCMT060202, this insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive rake and positive side clearance. It is coated with a multilayer TiAlN and TiN PVD coating under the CP500 grade, providing a balance of moderate to high wear resistance and toughness. The MF2 chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing cuts. The inscribed circle measures 0.25 inches and the corner radius is 0.0079 inches. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in screw-held toolholders for turning, facing, and boring applications.
This insert is suited for finishing passes on stainless steel, steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. The CP500 grade with PVD multilayer coating is rated for material groups P, K, and S, covering a wide range of ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. It is appropriate for both manual engine lathes and CNC turning centers in job shop, production, and aerospace environments. Each insert provides two usable cutting edges, and the neutral hand orientation allows flexible toolholder compatibility. The MF2 chip breaker promotes controlled chip evacuation during light to moderate finishing depths of cut.

Installation is performed by machining professionals or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts.
