The SECO 02747780 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation ONEU090520ZZTN4-M14 and manufactured in the MK1500 grade. This double-sided, octagon-shaped insert features four cutting edges with a wiper cutting edge style and a negative rake angle of 15 degrees. The CVD-applied Duratomic coating — TiCN plus Al2O3 — delivers wear resistance suited to high-volume milling in cast iron. Insert thickness is 0.2189 inches with an inscribed circle of 0.8429 inches. The M14 chip breaker geometry controls chip flow during interrupted and continuous cuts. This insert is held in the cutter body by screw clamping and is designed for use by machining professionals in production environments.
This insert is optimized for milling cast iron workpieces, covering primary material grade code K applications. It fits SECO cutter series R220.48-09 and L220.48-09. Maximum depth of cut is 0.2480 inches, and the cutting edge effective length is 0.2480 inches. The neutral hand orientation allows use in right-hand and left-hand cutter configurations.
