The SECO 02743154 is a solid carbide cutoff and parting insert designed for precision grooving and parting-off operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a CP500 micrograin carbide grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating for extended edge life across a wide range of workpiece materials. The insert has a 3.10mm cutting width, a 6-degree right-hand lead angle, and a 0.0080-inch corner radius. It uses a clamp-style holding method and fits Series 150.10 toolholders. This insert is sized for single-end use and is sold in individual units with a minimum order quantity of 10.
This insert is suited for parting and cutoff applications on universal workpiece materials in production turning environments. The CP500 grade with PVD TiAlN and TiN finish handles both interrupted and continuous cuts at moderate to high cutting speeds. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or high-volume turning cells will find this insert appropriate for standard OD parting setups requiring a 3mm-class cutting width with a right-hand chipbreaker designation of 14.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for Series 150.10 clamp-style cutoff and parting toolholders requiring a size-3 insert seat with a 3.10mm cutting width and right-hand lead angle configuration.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully in the clamp pocket and confirm the clamp screw is torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer specification before resuming cuts. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris before each installation to maintain accurate cutting geometry.
