The SECO 02743146 is a solid carbide cutoff and parting insert designed for precision grooving and cutoff operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the Series 150.10 platform, it carries the CP500 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating that delivers thermal resistance and wear protection across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert features a 4.09mm cutting width (0.1610 inches), a 6-degree neutral lead angle, and a corner radius of 0.0090 inches (0.2286mm). It is held in place by a clamp-style insert seat and is intended for single-end use. Machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers of this insert.
This insert is suited for parting and grooving applications on universal workpiece materials, making it a versatile choice for general-purpose turning operations in both production and job-shop environments. The CP500 micrograin carbide grade and PVD coating allow use on steel, stainless, and cast materials without frequent grade changes. It is dimensioned for use in Series 150.10 toolholders configured for clamp-held inserts. This SKU is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.
Designed for use in Series 150.10 clamp-style cutoff and grooving toolholders accepting insert size code 4 with a seat size of 4.
Installation is performed by CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench for the clamping screw to avoid cracking the carbide body — do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping surfaces for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
