The SECO 02733908 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a wide range of workpiece materials. It carries a 3 mm cutting diameter with a 0.15 mm corner radius and a 7 mm length of cut, making it well suited for precision slot milling, profiling, and finishing passes where edge integrity matters. The tool features a 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 48-degree high helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation. SIRON-A coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness for extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill is built for short-reach, high-precision milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, hard materials, high-temperature alloys, and non-ferrous metals. It belongs to the SECO JS553 series, which is engineered around extended-reach, center-cutting geometry with a straight cylindrical shank. The 6 mm shank diameter, 8.5 mm reach length, and 50 mm overall length make it compatible with standard collet chucks and shrink-fit holders used on CNC machining centers for tight-tolerance work.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard collet or shrink-fit toolholding systems accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, hard materials, high-temperature alloys, and non-ferrous metals as part of the SECO JS553 series.
Installation should be performed by qualified CNC tooling technicians following shop-standard tool presetting procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the controller is in a safe state before changing tooling. Confirm shank runout is within acceptable limits after seating in the holder. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for feed, speed, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
