It carries a TiAlSiN multilayer PVD coating under the manufacturer grade TH1000, engineered for heat resistance and wear performance in demanding cuts. The insert features an 80-degree trigon shape, a neutral hand orientation, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a corner radius of 0.0472 inches (3/64 inches). Designed for use in WNMG-style toolholders accepting clamp, pin, or lever-lock insert retention. Primary workpiece material compatibility is superalloys and titanium (code S) and hard materials (code H), per material grades S05 and H05. Conforms to ANSI and ISO WNMG080412-MF5 standards, ensuring fitment with any standard WNMG 433 toolholder pocket.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC turning technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing the insert. Seat the insert fully in the toolholder pocket and verify the clamp, pin, or lever-lock mechanism is secure before resuming cuts.
