The SECO 02694995 is an indexable square-shoulder face mill from the Power Turbo series, designed for high-productivity milling operations on machining centers and mill-turn equipment. It accepts 8 XO X1806-style inserts and delivers a maximum cutting diameter of 5 inches with a maximum depth of cut of 0.669 inches. The 1-inch arbor hole provides a rigid, centered mount. A 0/90 lead angle geometry produces true 90-degree shoulder walls, making this cutter well suited for step milling, slotting, ramping, and helical interpolation. Qualified machinists and tooling setup technicians handle installation and insert indexing.
This face mill is built for medium-pitch applications where shoulder accuracy and chip evacuation are priorities. The positive axial and negative radial rake combination balances cutting force with edge stability across a range of workpiece materials. Through-coolant capability directs fluid directly to the cutting zone, supporting extended insert life in deep-cut or high-feed passes. The Power Turbo series is suited for both roughing and semi-finishing passes in ferrous and non-ferrous applications where a true 90-degree wall is required. Maximum ramping angle is 1.00 degree.
Designed for use with XO X1806-style inserts. Cutter style designation is R220.69. Verify arbor and spindle interface dimensions before mounting; arbor hole diameter is 1 inch with a hub diameter of 90 mm and keyway width of 16 mm.
Installation is performed by qualified tooling setup technicians or machinists. Always confirm the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the cutter body. Torque insert screws and clamping hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specifications provided in the tooling documentation. Inspect all insert pockets and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating inserts to ensure accurate radial and axial positioning.
