The SECO 02694937 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built on the Power Turbo platform, this toolholder accepts XO.X 1806.. insert style and delivers a 90-degree lead angle for true square-shoulder cuts. It features a 1-1/2 inch cutting diameter with a maximum depth of cut of 0.669 inches and an overall length (OAL) of 8.27 inches. The cylindrical shank measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter and 6.5 inches in length. Three cutting inserts are secured via screw-lock mounting, and through-coolant capability keeps the cutting zone clear at speeds up to 9,900 RPM. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling specialists in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for square-shoulder milling applications on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a 90-degree wall is required. The Power Turbo series designation indicates suitability for high-feed, high-productivity setups on vertical and horizontal machining centers. Through-coolant support makes it appropriate for deep-reach applications where chip evacuation and heat management are critical. The 3-flute configuration balances cutting efficiency and chip clearance across a range of materials and feed rates. Machinists specify this toolholder for both roughing and semi-finishing passes requiring consistent shoulder geometry.
Designed for use with XO.X 1806.. insert style. Cutter style is R217.69-18A. Part of the SECO Power Turbo series of indexable square-shoulder milling toolholders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or changing inserts. Confirm shank seating in the tool holder to the specified gauge length before torquing the retention mechanism. Replace worn or chipped inserts promptly to maintain shoulder geometry and avoid tool body damage.
