The SECO 02694884 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built around the R217.69-06A toolholder cutter style, it accepts XO.X 0602 insert style inserts and features a 90-degree lead angle for true square-shoulder milling. The tool has a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 inches, and supports a maximum spindle speed of 54,400 RPM. Through-coolant capability keeps cutting edges cool and aids chip evacuation during high-speed runs. Part of the Nano Turbo series, this end mill is intended for use by machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for square-shoulder milling operations where tight wall angles and controlled depth of cut are required. The through-coolant design makes it well-suited for harder materials and longer tool engagements where heat buildup is a concern. With a 2-flute, 2-insert configuration, it is optimized for light to medium material removal passes. The cylindrical shank with a 1/2 inch diameter is compatible with standard end mill holders and hydraulic or collet chuck systems commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style indexable end mill compatible with standard 1/2 inch cylindrical shank end mill holders; uses XO.X 0602 insert style in an R217.69-06A cutter body configuration. ISO number R217.69-00.50-0-06-2AN.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing inserts or mounting the toolholder. Verify insert seating and screw torque per the insert manufacturer guidelines before running. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear and that the machine tool coolant system is compatible before enabling coolant-through operation.
