The SECO 02689815 is an indexable square-shoulder face mill in the Super Turbo series, designed for high-productivity milling operations on machining centers and CNC mills. It accepts 7 XO X1204-series inserts secured by a clamp and screw holding method, and delivers a maximum cutting diameter of 2 inches with a maximum depth of cut of 0.433 inches. The 0.750-inch arbor hole fits standard 3/4-inch arbors. A 0-degree lead angle produces true 90-degree shoulders, making this cutter well suited for step milling and square-wall finishing. Through-coolant capability supports extended insert life and chip evacuation at higher feed rates.
This face mill is intended for use in metal-cutting applications including ramping operations, with a maximum ramping angle of 2 degrees. The positive axial and negative radial rake geometry reduces cutting forces while maintaining edge stability on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. It is typically installed and operated by CNC machinists, toolroom technicians, and production-floor setup personnel in industrial manufacturing environments. Overall cutter height is 1.57 inches, and the hub diameter is 47 mm with an 8.20 mm keyway width for positive drive engagement on the arbor.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the spindle fully powered down and locked out before mounting or removing the cutter body. Torque insert clamping screws using the manufacturer-specified Torx key; do not over-tighten or substitute fasteners. Verify arbor runout with a dial indicator before first use to protect insert edges and workpiece tolerances. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear and aligned with the machine spindle coolant supply before initiating a cut.
