The SECO 02688976 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling applications in metal-cutting environments. Part of the Super Turbo series, this toolholder accepts XO.X 1204.. style inserts secured by screw-clamp, delivering a 90-degree lead angle for true square-shoulder profiles. It features a 1-1/4 inch cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 0.433 inches, and a 1-inch Weldon flat shank. Through-coolant capability supports extended tool life and chip evacuation during high-speed runs up to 18,400 RPM. This toolholder is installed and set up by machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments.
The 02688976 is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and slotting operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials where a true 90-degree wall is required. The 4-flute, 4-insert configuration supports productive metal removal rates in both roughing and semi-finishing passes. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive engagement in standard milling machine and machining center spindles. Through-coolant delivery directs fluid directly to the cutting zone, making it effective in deep-shoulder and multi-pass applications where heat and chip buildup are concerns.
Designed for use with XO.X 1204.. series indexable inserts. Toolholder style is R217.69-12A. ISO number R217.69-01.25-3S12-4AN can be used to cross-reference compatible inserts and confirm fitment with Super Turbo series tooling systems.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be brought to a full stop and locked out before mounting or removing the toolholder. Confirm the Weldon flat shank is properly seated and the setscrews are torqued according to the machine tool manufacturer specification before operation. Verify coolant line connection and through-coolant passages are clear before initiating a cutting cycle.
