The SECO 02688957 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill from the Super Turbo series, designed for high-efficiency milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It accepts three XO.X 1204.. inserts secured by screw clamping, delivering a 90-degree lead angle and a maximum depth of cut of 0.433 inches. The 1-1/4-inch cutting diameter and through-coolant capability make this tool well suited for demanding roughing and semi-finishing passes where heat control and chip evacuation are critical. With a maximum spindle speed of 18,400 RPM, it is built for high-productivity setups on modern CNC machining centers. Installation and setup are handled by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop, production, and toolroom environments.
This end mill is used in square-shoulder milling applications where a true 90-degree wall is required. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive and slip resistance in side-lock tool holders. The through-coolant design supports extended tool life and consistent performance when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With an overall length of 4.25 inches and a usable length of 3.11 inches, it covers a practical range of reach requirements in typical CNC vertical and horizontal machining center setups.
Designed for use with XO.X 1204.. series indexable inserts. The Weldon flat shank is compatible with standard 1-1/4-inch side-lock tool holders used on CNC machining centers.
This tool is installed and changed out by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Before inserting or removing the tool body from the spindle, ensure the machine is in an e-stop state and the spindle is fully locked. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to seat insert screws to the manufacturer-specified procedure without over-torquing. Inspect insert pockets and the cutter body for damage, chips, or debris before each use.
