The SECO 02688950 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Part of the Super Turbo series, it accepts XO.X 1204.. style inserts held in place by a screw-lock mechanism. The tool features a 3/4-inch cutting diameter, a 90-degree lead angle, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.433 inches. Through-coolant capability supports extended tool life and chip evacuation during high-speed cuts. With a maximum spindle speed of 23,200 RPM and two cutting inserts, this toolholder is built for productive square-shoulder milling on machining centers and manual mills. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive engagement and reduces pull-out risk during aggressive cuts.
This end mill is suited for square-shoulder milling applications in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms. The R217.69-12A toolholder designation places it within a well-established indexable milling platform. A 3/4-inch Weldon flat shank, 2.20-inch shank length, and 3.38-inch overall length make it compatible with standard toolholding setups on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The through-coolant port allows direct delivery of cutting fluid to the insert zone, which is particularly useful when machining steel, stainless, or cast iron at elevated feed rates.
Designed for use with XO.X 1204.. insert style inserts. Toolholder cutter style is R217.69-12A, ISO number R217.69-00.75-3-12-2AN, within the SECO Super Turbo series indexable milling platform.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with indexable milling toolholders. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before mounting or changing inserts. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a compatible toolholder to the machine manufacturer's specified drawbar torque. Verify insert seating and screw torque before initiating any cutting cycle.
