The SECO 02688842 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting applications. Part of the Super Turbo series and identified by ISO number R217.69-00.75-0-12-2AN, this tool accepts two XO.X 1204.. inserts held in place by screws. It features a 0.75 inch cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 0.433 inches, and a 90-degree lead angle that produces true square shoulders in a single pass. The overall length is 5.91 inches and the tool runs at up to 23,200 RPM. Through-coolant capability supports heat management and chip evacuation during high-feed operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill is suited for square-shoulder milling, slotting, and step milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 2-flute configuration and 90-degree cutter style make it well matched to applications requiring clean vertical walls and flat floors. The cylindrical shank measures 0.75 inches in diameter and 4.72 inches in length, fitting standard end mill holders and collet chucks used in CNC machining centers. The head length is 1.18 inches. Through-coolant delivery is particularly useful in deep-cavity or high-speed passes where insert longevity and chip control are critical.
Compatible with XO.X 1204.. series indexable inserts. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC milling setups using standard cylindrical shank end mill holders sized for a 0.75 inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Verify that the tool holder is rated for the shank diameter and that insert seats are clean and free of debris before seating new inserts. Tighten insert screws to the torque value specified by the insert manufacturer documentation supplied with the inserts, not this tool body. Confirm through-coolant port alignment with the machine spindle coolant supply before beginning operation.
