The SECO 02685795 is an indexable chamfer angle face mill designed for high-efficiency facing operations on machining centers and milling machines. Built around the R220.48 cutter series, this tool accepts 7 ON.U09 inserts held in place by a wedge clamping method for rigid, repeatable performance. The face mill has a minimum cutting diameter of 3.94 inches and a maximum cutting diameter of 4.53 inches, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.236 inches. A 1.5 inch arbor hole provides a secure, centered fit to the spindle arbor. The right-hand cutting direction and negative rake angle of -8 degrees suit this tool to a broad range of workpiece materials under standard facing conditions. Total assembled weight is 3.97 pounds.
This face mill is suited for flat surface facing on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in production and job shop environments. With 7 flutes and a normal pitch configuration, it delivers a balanced cut at spindle speeds up to 3,500 RPM. A licensed machinist or CNC setup technician typically installs and operates this tooling. The 0.63 inch keyway width and 3.543 inch hub diameter are sized for precision arbor registration. This tool does not feature coolant-through capability, so external flood or mist coolant should be directed at the cutting zone to manage chip evacuation and heat during facing passes.
