The SECO 02660151 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI and ISO designation XPKX12T308PDER-E08 in manufacturer grade H25. This single-sided, parallelogram-shaped insert features a positive rake angle of 23 degrees and an 11-degree relief angle, making it well-suited for light, efficient cuts with minimal cutting forces. The bright uncoated finish and micrograin carbide substrate are optimized for direct contact with non-ferrous metals and superalloys. With 2 cutting edges and an E08 chip breaker geometry, this insert delivers controlled chip formation in demanding milling applications. It is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in indexable milling toolholders.
This insert is designed for milling operations on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper alloys, as well as superalloys and titanium. The positive rake and honed cutting edge style reduce built-up edge and heat generation, which is critical when cutting gummy or work-hardening materials. It fits cutter series R217.97-X12 and R220.97-X12 and is held in the toolholder by screw clamping. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and profile milling on CNC machining centers in production and job-shop environments.
Compatible with cutter series R217.97-X12 and R220.97-X12. Insert conforms to ANSI and ISO code XPKX12T308PDER-E08 within the XPKX-12 series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification — do not overtighten, as this can crack the carbide body. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or contamination before installing a new insert.
