Product Description

The SECO 02656567 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XOMX180608TR-M14 in manufacturer grade MP3000. It features a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry at 15.5 degrees, and a T-Land cutting edge style designed to handle hard materials, steel, and stainless steel. The PVD-applied TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection during interrupted and continuous milling operations. With two cutting edges per insert and a right-hand orientation, it is suited for shoulder milling and general-purpose milling applications performed by machining professionals and toolroom technicians.

This insert is designed for use in face milling, shoulder milling, and profile milling operations targeting hard materials, carbon and alloy steels, and stainless steels. It is compatible with SECO cutter series R217.69-18 and R220.69-18 and is held in the cutter body by a screw-clamp method. The insert is single-sided, meaning each insert provides two usable cutting edges before replacement. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where consistent depth of cut and surface finish are critical.

Compatibility

Designed for use with SECO cutter series R217.69-18 and R220.69-18. Screw-mounted seating applies to compatible SECO milling cutter bodies accepting the XOMX-18 insert series.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by machining technicians using the appropriate Torx or hex key to seat and secure the insert screw in the cutter body pocket. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the cutter body pocket for debris, burrs, or wear before seating the new insert. Do not overtighten the clamping screw; follow the cutter body manufacturer seating procedure to avoid insert cracking or pocket damage.
