Product Description

The SECO 02656505 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI and ISO designation XOMX120416TR-MD13 in manufacturer grade MP3000. This single-sided, right-hand parallelogram insert features a TiAlN PVD coating applied over a micrograin carbide substrate. It provides two cutting edges with a positive rake angle of 14.7 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style. The MD13 chip breaker geometry is designed for controlled chip formation in demanding applications. The insert is held in the cutter body by screw clamping and is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals in milling operations on hard materials and ferrous workpiece materials.

This insert is suited for milling applications on steel, stainless steel, and hard materials, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, and H. The positive rake geometry and PVD TiAlN coating support productive cutting in both roughing and finishing passes where thermal and abrasive wear resistance are required. It is used in vertical and horizontal milling setups on CNC machining centers. Compatible cutter series include R217.69-12 and R220.69-12 per supplier specification.

Installation Notes

Insert installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures.
