The SECO 02656029 is a trigon-shaped solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance metal cutting in demanding machining applications. Manufactured to ANSI and ISO standards under the designation 218.19-160T-04-M08, this insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process and a micrograin carbide substrate. It carries the MP3000 manufacturer grade, which is engineered for cutting hard materials, steel, and stainless steel. The insert has a positive rake angle of 10 degrees, a 12-degree relief angle, and a T-Land cutting edge style. With three cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, it delivers consistent performance across a range of milling operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tool setters are the primary installers of this insert type.
This insert is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and general milling operations on steel, stainless steel, and hard materials. The MP3000 grade with PVD TiAlN coating provides wear resistance and thermal stability when machining difficult-to-cut alloys and hardened steels. The M08 chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation in medium-duty cutting conditions.
