The SECO 02640640 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XNEX080608TR-M13 in the MP3000 manufacturer grade. It features a trigon shape with six cutting edges and a right-hand orientation, making it a double-sided insert suited for high-productivity milling applications. The insert is coated with TiAlN via a PVD process for improved wear resistance and thermal stability. With a 0.0315-inch corner radius, a 0.4913-inch inscribed circle diameter, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.2953 inches, this insert is engineered for controlled chip formation in demanding material removal operations. It is installed by machining professionals in CNC milling setups.
This insert is designed for milling steel, stainless steel, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, and H. The M13 chip breaker geometry, combined with a negative rake angle of 22 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style, supports stable cutting performance in interrupted and continuous cuts on difficult-to-machine workpieces. It is compatible with the SECO R220.96-08 cutter series, making it appropriate for face milling, shoulder milling, and similar operations in production environments. The insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Compatible with the SECO R220.96-08 cutter series. Designed for use in XNEX-08 series toolholders. Suited for machining steel (ISO P), stainless steel (ISO M), and hard materials (ISO H).
This insert is seated and secured using a screw-type insert holding method; use the appropriate Torx or insert-seating tool specified by the cutter body manufacturer to avoid seat damage. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Insert handling should follow standard shop safety practices, as cutting edges are sharp and the TiAlN coating does not affect edge sharpness.
