It carries the TGP45 manufacturer grade with a CVD-applied Duratomic coating of TiCN and Al2O3, which improves wear resistance and tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert features a 0.122-inch cutting width, a 0.008-inch corner radius, and a neutral lead angle, making it a versatile choice for straight cutoff work. A chipbreaker geometry designated 14 is incorporated into the insert face to aid chip control during the cut. The insert is single-ended and designed for clamp-style holders in the Series 150.10 system.
This insert is suited for cutoff and parting applications in both production and job-shop turning environments. Its universal primary workpiece material rating means it performs across steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar OD-turned materials without requiring a material-specific grade change. Do not exceed the rated maximum depth of cut. Inspect the clamping screw and toolholder for wear before reuse.
